Testing our helicopters
We each made a paper helicopter. We had to do a fair test to see what would make the helicopter fly taste to slower. We were only allowed to change one thing each time we tested it. We tried removing the paper clip, folding the wings in a different direction and opening it out to a Flat piece of paper. We found it dropped more slowly if there was a wider piece of paper. This is called wind resistance. It is a type of force.

Cross-country racing at Rabbit Island by William
Ready, Set, Go!
I stood at the start line. I was waiting for Mr. Dorman to say go! We waited for a minute then he said go! Every body went as fast as they could. I was racing so fast and suddenly I got ahead of every one. It was amazing! I was puffing and my legs were aching and then I was so puffing I nearly threw up! I was close to the finish line. I won the race and I was so excited I did a boogie!
Shields
We have been learning about Roman shields. Noah made this modern day version of the Roman shield. Gabriel tried the real one out for size at the Nelson museum.
